artKYOTO 2023

artKYOTO 2023 takes the stage
at World Heritage Site Nijo-jo Castle,
8 - 9 October (Sun - Mon)

Making its first public appearance in 2019, artKYOTO takes the stage at World Heritage Site Nijo-jo Castle where the fair display artworks carefully selected by galleries and art dealers from home and abroad. In this historically significant space where magnificent beams running across the ceiling perfectly harmonize with the floorboards, the finest works from a variety of genres including antiques, crafts, modern and contemporary art will be exhibited for sale. In this year's fair, we plan to invite not only domestic galleries but also Indonesian artists, commemorating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Indonesia. Aiming to engage foreign tourist visitors, we aspire to showcase the possibilities of art to the world from Kyoto, the ancient capital at the heart of Japanese cultural attraction for more than a millennium.
