About
Making its first public appearance in 2019, artKYOTO takes the stage at World Heritage Site Nijo-jo Castle where the fair display artworks carefully selected by over 20 galleries and art dealers from home and abroad. In this historically significant space where magnificent beams running across the ceiling perfectly harmonize with the floorboards in Ninomaru-goten Palace Daidokoro & Okiyodokoro (Kitchen) and Tonan Sumi-yagura (Southeast Watchtower) designated as an important cultural property, the finest works from a variety of genres including antiques, crafts, modern and contemporary art will be exhibited for sale.
